CHARITY WORK
Over the past few years we were able to give back to the community, in and around Stellenbosch:
- Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch
- Prochorus – Unakho Centre differently abled Children
- Noah Old Age Home
- Stellenbosch Night Shelter
- Jakkerland Pre-primary
- Pink Ladies
- Meals on Wheels Somerset West
- Red Cross Children’s Hospital
Pink Ladies
We were very fortunate to meet some of the amazing woman from the Pick Ladies team. They are a non-profit organization that helps to search for missing children and reuniting them with their families. We donated money the cause.

DAGS
DAGS is the Disability Action Group Stand. They advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, inclusive of children with learning disabilities; their meaningful inclusion into community life; and meaningful employment to improve quality of life. DAGS also includes disability awareness, disability equality training and development within their program implementation for parents of children with disabilities.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is one of the non-profit making activities run by MOWCS, and is the Response of a Caring Community to the hunger, loneliness and fear being experienced by so many of our Senior Citizens today. Zest Fruit staff came together to create lunch bags for a group of pre-primary kids whose parents are not able to provide them with lunch meals. We also visited the Somerset West office where they prepare meals for senior citizens who has no one looking after them.

Animal Shelter Gordon’s Bay
After the devastating fires that swept through Gordon’s Bay early November, the shelter send out an urgent plea to the public to help evacuating the shelter and take in animals where the public could assist. They needed major funding to rebuild what they have lost in the fire and we hope our cheque was able to assist them with that.

Jakkerland Pre-primary
We have heard about Jakkerland through Abbasorg – ATKV and what amazing work the teachers are doing for the kids in their community. We were able to make some changes to their kitchen, where they prepare fresh meals in the mornings and afternoons for the children. We build a few cupboards and changed the flow of the kitchen, bought them a new fridge and new toilet seats for the bathrooms. We also had a new jungle gym and swing fitted for their play area, by Speelgoedland Klimrame.
